Barreng Moorop Youth Justice Program

Home > Our Services > Youth Services and Programs > Barreng Moorop Youth Justice Program

Our program helps young Aboriginal people aged 10-14 years who are involved, or their families are involved, in the justice system.

What we offer

  • Links to services such as welfare, housing, family and education
  • Intensive caseworker support (6-18 months).

Our caseworkers will help you address the issues behind offending, including inter-generational trauma. We provide support and can help with addressing mental health issues and provide access to education and strengthen cultural and community connections.

This program runs in partnership with Jesuit Social Services and the Aboriginal Legal Service

Standing Strong - Barreng Moorop x Indigenous Hip Hop Projects

Standing Proud is a music video created in collaboration between 10 Aboriginal young people in our Barreng Moorop program and Indigenous Hip Hop Projects (IHHP). Working with the talented Aboriginal artists at IHHP, these 10 young people attended writing workshops, recorded in a studio, shot a video and created this piece reflecting what is important to them, where they find strength and the importance of connection to culture.
