Leaving Care

This program supports Aboriginal young people aged 18-21 who have left care, and young people aged 15-18 years in care, to transition to supported independent living.

What we offer

Our leaving care program supports young people to:

• Develop a strong cultural identity
• Connect with family and community
• Develop independent living skills, including financial literacy
• Assist young people to meet their goals
• Organise safe, affordable long-term housing
• Actively participate in the community

Leaving care workers also provide cultural advice, consultation and support to other leaving care providers.
