On Saturday, 25 May, VACCA partnered with The Long Walk to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Michael Long's walk to Canberra and support some of our families to attend the Dreamtime at the 'G match.

After greeting kids and carers, having a yarn with the public and watching some deadly live entertainment at the Long Walk Festival in Yarra Park, staff and families set off on the walk around the MCG, with our Long Walk banner being carried by 10 young people down all the way from Ovens Murray to attend the Long Walk.

The team was joined that day by over 1000 of VACCA's staff, carers, children and young people, all sharing in Michael Long's continuing message of strength, hope and a better future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
