Celebrating the women of VACCA

Through our programs and services, VACCA works to support and empower Aboriginal women and girls in all their diversity by protecting their rights and advocating on their behalf, and by strengthening families, communities and individuals.

The work we do would not be possible without the strong, proud and deadly women of VACCA who show up each day for their clients, colleagues, friends and family.

On International Women's Day we celebrate the women of VACCA, the women and girls we work with, and all the women who have supported us and made us who we are.

About International Women's Day

Each year on 8 March we celebrate International Women’s Day. On this day we celebrate the achievements of women and recognise their strengths, skills and abilities. It also gives us the opportunity to stand with all women in working towards a more equal and inclusive world.

The 2022 IWD theme is #EmbraceEquity, which calls for us to imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #EmbraceEquity.
