Link-Up Victoria National Apology to the Stolen Generations Anniversary Morning Tea

Home > News and Events > Events > Link-Up Victoria National Apology to the Stolen Generations Anniversary Morning Tea

To commemorate the 12th anniversary of the National Apology this week, Link-Up Victoria held a morning tea in partnership with Darebin City Council and Connecting Home.

Through this event we came together with our community to reflect, grieve and acknowledge the harm done to Stolen Generations – and honour the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families and communities.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us in commemorating this historic day, and express our deep gratitude to all Stolen Generations survivors who shared their experiences through speeches, music and performances. It is vital that your voices are heard, and that this history is learnt and told so past injustices are never repeated.

We acknowledge the strength and resilience of all Stolen Generations members and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families and communities.
